The port of Hook of Holland (also known as HvH) is located on the west coast of the Netherlands. The port is easily accessible by car via the A20 and also has its own metro station, allowing you to reach it by public transport as well.
The port area is about 30 kilometers from Rotterdam and 85 kilometers from Amsterdam.

Public transport
By metro/train or bus
The port of Hook of Holland is easily accessible by public transport. As mentioned earlier, there is a metro station in the port area, where metros depart and arrive.
Metro station Hook of Holland (Strand)
At the beginning of the Stena Line terminal, you will find the metro station. Metro line B from RET connects Hook of Holland with Schiedam station. From Schiedam, there is is a connection towards Rotterdam.Â

Stopover Schiedam
Schiedam is worth a short visit. The beautiful old centre can be seen from the station in a 20-minute walk. The tallest windmill in the Netherlands is also in Schiedam.
Travelling by bus?
You can also choose to travel by bus to the port of Hook of Holland. There are direct bus connections to and from The Hague and Delft operated by EBS. From The Hague, it takes about 40 minutes to reach the port. Bus times and stops can be found on the EBS website↗.
