Price indication
Starting price for tickets Harwich to Hook of Holland
Stena Line states on its own website a starting price of approximately £ 68 for a crossing for one person with a car.
Now, you won’t always get that price, but the booking module on Stena Line’s website shows that crossings are often quite affordable.
Dynamic prices
Stena Line uses a pricing system where fares increase as more bookings are made for a particular sailing. So make sure to book as early as possible.
For reference: In a booking made in April 2024, the total price for a return trip with a cabin for 2 people was €329 (~£273).
That means €165 (~£137) per person for a return trip to the Netherlands by ferry.
Starting price per vehicle type
Prices for foot passenger, car, caravan, camper
The price you pay for the crossing depends on how you travel. Are you traveling without a car, with a car, with a car and caravan, or with a camper? Check the table for the starting prices per vehicle type for this crossing.
Keep this in mind
If you book as a foot passenger, you are required to book a cabin. However, if you book with a car, this is not mandatory, which is why the prices are not significantly different. In some cases, traveling by car can even be cheaper than as a foot passenger since you don’t need to book a cabin.
During the high season, crossings can be more expensive, so booking early is especially useful if you need a cabin. In many cases, the cheaper ship cabins sell out quickly, and if you book later, there is a chance that you will have to book a more expensive cabin.
